After graduating with her B.S. degree in psychology from Drexel University in Philadelphia, where she had been a dancer, Sarah sought to find a way to continue to enjoy the experience of the body in movement.  She found and began training in Pilates in early 2000 at Body Precision.  By the end of the year, she was so passionate for this method of movement she enrolled in their extensive teacher-training program.  After almost two full years of dedicated study, Sarah completed the training program, became a full-time teacher and has been ever since.  As a certified teacher, she has taught at several different studios, working with all ages and body types from professional athletes, to dancers, to those seeking injury rehabilitation or those just wanting a deeper body awareness.  She also spent a year as a Trainee advisor for those studying to be a teacher of the Pilates method at the studio where she had trained. She has spent time studying with various teacher of the Pilates method over the years as well as studying other movement modalities such as Yoga, Gyrotonics, and Continuum. In addition to movement study, she has enhanced her knowledge of the body and its innate healing abilities through the study of various body therapies and energy work such as Shiatsu, Myofascial Release, Reiki and a year at Barbara Brennan School of Healing. During this past year Sarah took time off to experience her own body as it went through pregnancy, birth, and recovery. She has returned to the world of teaching Pilates with new found knowledge of the body’s natural abilities and needs through the childbirth process.  Sarah is dedicated and passionate about teaching Pilates.  She wants to bring a more fulfilling experience of the body to anyone who wants to have more joy in their physical body…as Joseph Pilates said, “Physical fitness is the first requisite of happiness.”
