Pilates was once a nationally ranked gymnast until a dehabilitating back injury forced an early retirement. After numerous
attempts with conventional rehablilitation, she found a cure through Pilates. Eager to share her experience of wellness with
a desire to help others, she discovered The Pilates Center; a world renowned teaching facility in Boulder, Colorado.
Upon her completion of the 1 year (900 hr) extensive teacher training program with second generation students of Joseph
Pilates and students of Romana Kryzanowski Kathy Grant and Eve Gentry, she took her skills and knowledge to California
where she taught for three years while performing Aerial Dance throughout the country. Ready to open a studio with
her own vision, she moved to Portland, Oregan and opened Center Flow Pilates, located on NW 23rd Ave. Alithea remains active
